Did I Talk to Filipino Callers?

My work starts at 5 AM. In between answering emails, I received two calls. I know I have talked to my fellow Filipinos over the phone. One requested a ticket to be opened in the Europe site and the other in the North America region. I wonder if they are in the region or in the Philippines too. I can hear their accents, the way I sound is the way they sounded. Not regional but neutral accent. (I guess that's how I speak the second language - I am not bragging here). When I told them about the Customer Satisfaction Survey, they said "Yes, I will take it". So I got a Very Satisfied rate. Thank you to the Filipinos callers.

@jobelbojel Great! Working in BPOs sharpens your oral and written English.

So you are a call center agent. Filipino callers are easy to satisfy. I know, because I am a Filipino caller. I want my customer service representative, to be attentive to what I will narrate with regards what I called them for. He must have a clear voice and a clear way of speaking. Most of all, he must be able to give me a solution to what I called for. He should see to it that I understand what he is talking about. That way, I can give him a very satisfactory rating.

@jobelbojel So, how it is working on a graveyard shift. I was told it is what is not good with BPO.

Ahemmm. That's me, clear voice. Just kidding. Yes I am. I work as an account manager (agent position), not the higher position.

Yes. My account is 70% non-voice but we call the customers if we need to verify their request.

@jobelbojel i guess non-voice would less stressful than receiving complaints or making calls to sell something. do non-voice have quota/incentives too?

I remember my call center life where I used to received Filipino clients too. Also, I remember a Filipina client who called and asks for me because she wants to give me a trip to Bohol for the services I made for her. Since she insisted, my Supervisor called her and have her talk to me in private. The sad thing is I told her that I cannot take it as the rule stated.

Why not? I think it would be a good incentive for you to receive the trip package/ticket.

when i call a call center agent regarding my complaint on Globe telecom, the one who responds to me speaks in English WITH A TWANG, to which i remark, "better in Filipino 'na lang' because we are both Pinoys".

At least they are so supportive; and you know they are Filipinos by the way they speak the second language.

At Humanatic I could hear few conversations of Filipinos in Tagalog. I learned that an agent speaking non English/Spanish/Chinese is NOT A QUALIFIED AGENT.
