A Lady Showed Up last night , to give me her dog

I was outside at 9 :30 pm , this is usual with me taking my dog out. A lady approached me with a terrier mix. She asked if I could take it because her landlord says she has too many dogs.
She has been watching me with my dog and felt I could give it a good home. Sadly I can’t take another dog in, and it is bigger than my dog. Long hair, not spayed. She tried telling me it was part chihuahua like my dog.
It growled at me and was shaking, it knew what she was up to. I gave her the number to a no kill rescue. I felt bad for the dog, but I just can’t commit right now.

While I wonder about the situations people face, I too wonder how people can ask some one to keep their adorable pet as they are having some trouble because of him! I think she got assured that you are a dog lover and take care of the dog very nicely! Thanks!

She has more dogs at home, so I wondered why she wanted to give this dog up, not one of the others. A few years back a lady asked me to watch her dog for a day, she was moving and would be back in the morning. I seen her in passing all the time she had several dogs. So I placed the little dog in the small yard area I have. It was not house broken. She left her number for me, a leash and no food for the dog.
Well the next day came and went she never answered the phone, I walked to her old house and she had left all the dogs behind. I. Called a rescue worker because the pound told me since I took the dog by choice I have to keep it for 30 days. Before they take it. This is before the no kill shelter opened,it was hard catching the others and one dog ran , never came back

@CookieMonster46 , Why people do like this, I fail to understand! Why in first palce they should own dogs, that too in so many numbers? I think that lady must be having some mental illness to do so!

People have to know just how many dogs are allowed in a home or apartment that isn't there's. Most of the time it's clearly stated in the contract. She knew she had too many dogs and yet she kept getting them.
I hope she calls the no kill shelter and releases the dog to them. I have to say I applaud her for wanting to find the dog a good home but the way she was going about it was a little odd.
