During these hot summer days, thank goodness for air conditioning. When my husband and I first married, we rented an apartment that only had a window box air conditioner in the bedroom. So, the rest of the apartment was hot and we used a fan. Now, in the house we live in, we have a whole house air conditioner. It sure is nice that the cool air goes through out the house and can be controlled by the dial on the hall wall. If you have air conditioning, do you have a whole house cooling system or do you have a window box air conditioner in one room?

We do not have air conditioning, almost nobody has here. This is not a very hot country.

We have only a/c at our rooms. That is why it is hot in the summer days. But now, we have non stop rains

I have an in-wall air conditioner. I do my best not to use it too much, though I have used it more this year than last.

@LeaPea2417 I think it depends on the summer. It used to get over a hundred, but lately it hasn't broken 90. With the way this summer has been going, I'm sure we'll be breaking 100, though this week has been nice - 80's.

Oh, I love to have an AC inside my room since I don't have a window. And I can't afford to have one plus the electricity will cost us a lot.

Yes there is central air here. It is nice but then again I always feel how soft it makes us. No chance for adaption to the climate.

Here in Georgia, I don't know how the people lived in this area in the mid 1900s with no air conditioning. I have read stories about how sweltering it was in the industrial work plants for the workers here in those days.

We have a system that allows us to cool separate areas, which is great for us. We don't use AC all the time but there are many days when we really must.
