Heather Rose is being called a heroine for her work of finding a female husky who was on the side of a road on Monday during her morning jog. Heather when she saw the female husky laying down in a ditch, went to her home to get the Husky some water to drink. Heather then called the Metro Care And Animal Control to report that she found a dog that was missing. Heather stood by the dog until help arrived. When the animal control officials took the husky to the animal shelter, they found a microchip on the dog. The owner of the husky was notified that her lost dog was found safe and sound by a stranger. Sue Baker who is an official with the animal shelter in Nashville believes that the dog ran away from home. Due to her advanced age, she was tired and decided to take a rest on the side of the road.

@LadyDuck Even if the pet does not like me that much due to their personality of being a loner.

Husky's are hard to train and very adventurous. I am glad that the owner and her old pup were reunited.

You are correct since someone else would have ignored that dog and went their merry way.

Glad the husky was saved but that leaves the question why the husky being old ran away from home???

I guess the husky wanted to get some exercise getting away from home.

I agree with you Spotlight. It was a good thing the jogger played the role of caretaker for the animal.
