It is a gloomy Wednesday morning here to my end, my fellow users of this site; so gloomy that all our dogs (with the 4 near my chair) are sleeping. My son did not drive the car. It is because I checked the engine oil and it was almost empty, so I told him that I will go buy 2 containers and fill the car up. Much as I want to ask, I just let my son narrate his experiences in meeting all the students for his subject. But he asked me and my sister if he should spoon-feed the students with the topics for discussion, to which we told him to let the students research on the subject matters so they can use their brains. There should be interaction between him and the students, we said. Then he said he noticed a few who have inquisitive minds. Then this: some of his female students point-blankly asked him, “Sir, are you single?” My son answered them honestly, “Yes”. Then some of the students asked for his, and other teachers’, mobile numbers, (in the faculty room) because they should give the numbers to their parents. My son however, will take the students’ phone numbers in his new sim card (I gave him my HTC phone), which I said he should have a different phone for his students, and another one for his private number. … And it is drizzling now!

We have had major thunderstorms and flash flooding in our area the last two days because the humidity has been so great. I have a phone that has availability for 2 sims cards so you can have 2 different phone numbers and only need one phone.. I don't have use for it but it is a nice option.

@minx267 it seems our weather now falls under the flash flood warning in almost all areas of our country. the fear of getting floods in the areas is making every Filipino resident on the lookout.

Wow your son must be good-looking that even his students would ask him if he was single or not. Well I guess he just be careful not to be too close to his students that way the teacher-student relationship could be maintained. There are times that student would looked into their teachers as friend and goody buddy. But I think this should not be allowed so that respect for him as a teacher would be maintained.

no, my son is not that good-looking. the students ask if he is single because they think of my son as their older brother, that is what he told me last night. also, some of his co-teachers ask him questions about the subject matter on philosophy, because he is a graduate of AB Philo. there are 3 more teachers of but are AB major in general psychology.

You are correct, he must use a different phone number for his students, not the same he uses for friends and family.

his phone for the students has no load yet, but his personal phone has. the signal of one mobile network is not always available in school'probably the tower of the network cannot reach downhill where the school is located.

It's so important to first motivate the students, but I'm sure that your son knows that. He is so handsome that the girls want to call him! I never gave out my home or cell numbers to my students or their parents. If they wanted to speak to me, they had to be directed through the school office to the phone in my room.

hahaha! that is what i tell my son but he said the students want the numbers of their teachers because their parents ask for them, to maybe ask their kids how they are in their class. yes, that is why i bought a new sim card for him, and he keeps his old sim number for his personal use.

the teachers should have the students' phones here, because something unexpected may be announced and the teachers should inform the students. that is why my son has a different number for the students and his personal use. same with the students asking the teachers' mobile numbers which should be given to their parents.

I hope it wil be well for him and I hope he will get use to those female students who will along the way might send motives of their liking to him. Yiu know college students, they dreamily thought of their single professor as their knight in shining armor. Classes are suspended today for most cities. The rain last night was non stop u til the early morning. But the rain suddenly stop an hour ago. So it is like g A guessing game if it will rain or not.

there is a LPA hovering near my place, but the classes are not suspended. well, my son has self-control and he is really not into the very young girls to court or woo. he is concentrated in being a teacher because this is his dream.

"he should have a different phone for his students, and another one for his private number." I think that's a good idea... Maybe most of the girl student will have crushes on him... ha ha..

isn't it that should be the case? a separate mobile phone number for business, and another for personal use?
