Do you get paid here when you use the Message feature?

Just curious, actually. When someone sends us a pm and when we reply to that message, do we earn a cent from that? Raise your hand if you know the answer. #respectpost

no, i don't think so. i have many messages sent and received from many friends here and my bank does not move at all. maybe it is because we are not interacting with the rest of the (mylot) world, but just between another person and you.

Nope you don't. Otherwise, I'd be blocking everybody who tries to use the pm to refer to me something.

No. You only earn anything when someone interacts in some way - by responding, commenting or 'liking' your post, for example - with what you post in the discussion area.

I wish we got paid for messages! I've had members send my pm's and try to carry on conversations through messaging. I always tell them that we should be having these conversations through comments on posts so that we earn money along the way! haha But I totally understand that sometimes we want to have private convos that we don't want the whole world to see!

@Melanie_Marie I thought you said I get paid extra for massages here! I definitely could go for a nice massage right now! And at a dollar a pop, I think I will ask for 4 or 5 massages each day! Hmmm...I could get rich and feel good at the same time. A win-win for me!

@moffittjc hahaha yeah just bother the heck out of everyone and keep messaging them daily with random questions like "how was your day" .... people LOVE that. Especially girls. You'll be rich in no time. Then you can quit your job and sleep all day and look at Mars all night.

Nope, neither person is paid if your conversation takes place in the private messages. That's why you are urged to have your conversations in the discussions taking place on myLot, not in the pms.

I don't think so, messages are just for private communication. I think it wont affect the earnings.

I don't think it does, it is just so that you can do private communication, that isn't beneficial to the site.
