I belonged to the era when Polson's Butter was the only brand available. Don't get me wrong it was not something the British left behind but was a pure Indian product I have great memories of how we as kids just over loaded our bread slices with this There were no fridges then and so we had to finish the packet the very day. This butter is no longer available. Amul Butter has now taken over I do not eat dairy butter now but have adapted to peanut butter which I understand is good for health compared to dairy butter

I use butter, but a very little quantity, it has some important health benefits and contains K2 vitamin. Peanut butter is not something I could use, I am seriously allergic to peanuts.

@allknowing I never drink milk, I use butter mainly for cakes, or some sauce (like Hollandaise).

@allknowing You might like some of the other nut butters too then. I have not tried them but my Mom liked a couple of them

Nut butters are good, and good for you if they do not have too much sugar added. I use dairy butter as well. It has gotten to be a big thing to get European butter for your fancy dishes here.

I have never seen that kind before. How do Indians view the British nowadays?
