At the moment my husband is building a cd rack for us. We don't buy new cds anymore, but we still have the cds we bought in the past. We have a stereo between our book shelves and when the cd rack is finished we are going to place it above the stereo. Right now we keep our cds in a box, and it is hard to find the cds we are looking for. At home we often listen to music online, but we still use the cds in our car. I usually grab as few cds for the car on my way out, and it will be nice to keep them in a cd rack instead of a random pile. My husband and I have designed the cd rack together, and I think it will look nice when it is finished. I will post a photo, when it is done but it will probably take a while because my husband has many other activities. He has also built other kinds of furniture like tables and books shelves. Do you have homemade furniture in your home? Or do you always buy your furniture?

When I was young and my husband was alive, we made some beautiful shelves that I still have in my dining room and in one of the rooms upstairs.

It is very nice that are able to keep the things you made together. I don't think that we will be able to keep all of the things that my husband has made when we move into an apartment in the future, but I want to keep as much as possible.

We have some furniture that my husband has built, some things we have received from other other people and some things that we have bought. Our home is a mix of many things, I like it that way

@LadyDuck That is true, it is important to live in a place where you feel well. I have lived in many different places, and I liked most of them. I have just redecorated my current home, and I am happy with the result.

@Porcospino The most important is the fact to love our home and feel well inside.

It sounds like a good idea to make a table out of an old tree. We just cut one of our trees, but I don't think that we will be able to recycle the wood the same way. Our tree was too small, but I like the idea.

I am not very good at crafts but that CD rack sounds like a great idea! I bought a CD rack from a music store which I use to hold mine. And like you I enjoy listening to them in my car

We thought about buying a cd rack in a store, but we didn't like the ones they had, and then my husband decided to make his own. It is nice to listen to music in the car

@dgobucks226 I also need music when I am driving. I don't like the local radio stations, I prefer my own cds.

@Porcospino Making your own rack saved you a bit of money I bet. Yes, I always need to be listening to music while driving.

I am happy that my husband is able to make furniture for us. I couldn't do it myself. Even the things that we just have to assemble are a challenge for me sometimes but my husband is good at it.

I always buy my furniture. But I don't mind making them by my self if I have the necessary tools.

I wouldn't be able to make furniture even if I had the tools. Fortunately my husband is much better at those things than I am.
