Finally finished writing for my new poetry book

I finally finished writing all the poems for my new book, which will have poetry and also some lyrics in it. Now comes the hard part, and one that's a bit annoying, - proofreading for typos and editing. I have 120 pages worth of stuff to proofread and possibly edit. But at least there is nothing new to write. And after I do that then I have to come up with a title for the book, come up with a book description and create my book cover. Once that's taken care of, I will be able to publish my book and share it with the world. I wanted to publish the book by the end of August but I am not sure if I will be able to do it by then if I am going to possibly leave for two weeks in August. But since I am self-publishing there is no deadline to worry about. It will be out there whenever it happens. No rush.

After I publish the book I will get distribution for it to Amazon, B&N, etc. And at some point I will do an e-book version.

@andriaperry No. I go through lulu (lulu.com). Have been using them for all my books.

Wow! I am very glad to know that you have finished with your Book of Poems! Have you published any book before? Just out of curiosity, don't you think it will be a good idea to contact a Publisher instead of publishing the Book all by yourself? That would make your life easier as far as the marketing the book is concerned! What you say?

Yes. I have published ten books already. One of them is a novel, another is a poetic tale. Then I have three lyric books, two poetry books, two books that have poetry, lyrics and prose, and one that has poetry and lyrics. I do not want to deal with finding a publisher that may want to publish my books. Plus, by publishing myself I have total control over my books inside and out. Also, going with a "traditional" publisher doesn't mean a book will sell like crazy or that they will do a lot of marketing for it. And then there are those that will publish a book for you if you pay them big bucks. Do not want to go that route. I do it myself for free through lulu.com. And my books are sold on amazon, barnes and noble online and other places online. They are not sold at physical stores though. At least not that I know of.
