Lana Whitner who is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps had the misfortune of having her auto stolen at a Flying J truck stop in Indianapolis on Tuesday.
What made the robbery really sour was that Lana' 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed male dog named Wrigley was in the vehicle when the robbery occurred in south Indianapolis Indiana.
The Indianapolis Metro Police Department (IMPD) asked the people who live in the community to contact them if they saw the dog and auto.
On Wednesday a tip from a concerned citizen helped the Indianapolis Police to find the dog safe and sound in the southeast section of the city.
Lana mentioned that her relationship with Wrigley is priceless since Wrigley is a service dog that is given to military veterans to assist them when they go through a rough storm in life.
Of the three thieves that were responsible for the carjacking, two of them have been arrested.

Thank heavens for good citizens and glad those thieves are getting what they deserve. I think that is the worst when a car gets stolen with either a child or pet inside.

The worst thing of having an auto stolen is when a child and/or animal is inside the auto since that cannot be replaced.

That is true since he is a service dog to assist his owner who probably has post war stress problems.

Service dogs are special pets for law enforcement, veterans and first responders who are suffering from stress related problems.
