My 3 years old Niece is very eager of Birthdays celebration in the house. She has made a habit that she will cut the cake. Yesterday was my wife's birthday and like alwasy she was arguing that she will cut the cake. Ok we all allowed her, but to her mistake she burned her thumnb when hot wax from burning candle fall on her thumb, andafter that it was crying session. She was helped by my wife to cut the cake, and yeah, eat too. Cold water, burnol were used to calm her down, but it took lot of time. Sweet Niece having birthday experience with everyone's birthday.

Oh my son was like that since he was 4 until 8 years old. He like to claim the cake as his and blow the candles. But now he is more matured.

As I told, It was my wife's birthday, but Niece wanted to cut herself, it's all her wish and was allowed. Now she is fine. Thanks for wishing Birthday.

i think it's cute that she always wants to cut the cake, even if it's not her birthday. i guess because she's at that stage where she's mastering manual skills and feels a sense of achievement. i hope the hot wax incident does not deter her next time, and realize that it was just an isolated incident. happy birthday to your wife! what kind of cake was it, by the way?

Yeah, she will, today she was all nice with no regret at all; still she is taking care of her. And you are right, it is her time for her sense of Achievement, she is topping in her Kindergarten school in all ways. And, Thanks for the birthday wishes, it was Black Forest cake. Who knows, but this she will understand with age. She was even trying to cut with cake knife instead of plastic knife. She will understand.
