One of my favorite singer-songwriter

One of my favorite singer-songwriter is Don McLean. He is the man behind the hits American Pie, Vincent (Starry Starry Night), Castles in the Air, Empty Chair and "And I Love You So."
What I love most about him is on how he writes his lyrics. Somehow it is like a poetry to me. Like his lines in his song "And I Love You So." that goes like this.
"The book of life is brief,
And once a page is read,
All but love is dead,
That is my belief..."
I could proudly say that I am really a fan of Don McLean.
What do you think about his song? Do you know Don McLean?
Here's one of his underrated song that I really like that seems touching my soul entitled "CROSSROADS" I hope you'll enjoy it.

I had an album of Don's which included American Pie. He did a great cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying." And love the song "Winterwood."

Yah, American Pie is really his big hits. Though I am not still around during his era of stardom I really like the music of this guy.

I love his songs and the imagery they contain! Crossroads is a beautiful song filled with emotion.

I only know a few of his songs like "American pie", "Vincent" and "Empty chairs". Out of those "Vincent" is my favorite song. I am listening to "Crossroads" while I am writing this, and I like it.

@simplfred I think that "American pie" and "Vincent" are more wellknown than his other other songs, but sometimes less wellknown or successful songs are beautiful as well.

I think Vincent and American Pie is two of his successful hits. But my most favorite song from him is this "Crossroads" the song is full of soul.

American Pie and Vincent are on my playlist in the car's USB. They're also in the USB at home which also includes "And I Love You So". Most of the songs in my playlist are golden oldies.
