Hello everybody. How the heck are you? Hopefully better than we are here.
It is hotter than blue blazes here and I am thinking that it might not get better anytime soon.
Without an air conditioner that works in either house we are up a creek without a paddle, so to speak.
The hubby went out and bought a window unit for the bedroom so we could at least go in there to get cool. It is so nice in there you don't want to leave the bedroom but really, there are so many things to do that you can't just sit there and vegetate.
Right now he is out buying another window unit so we can have another room to go into. The weather, of course, is hot, humid, rainy, and such/ It is not at all cooperative.
Meanwhile we are looking into buying a house unit. They are so expensive plus I hate putting out the money again this year for another new unit. Believe it or not, the unit that is no longer working was hit by lightening and was not covered.
Oh well, for now I am going to count my blessings that we are able to buy a coupe of window units to help keep us from this perpetual heat.
At least we can stay cool in a couple of rooms/
How is everything going for you?

Since it's the rainy season here, monsoon rain is what we get quite often.

@HazySue Classes were cancelled today, Monday due to the terrible weather. So now my son is still sleeping.

I would hate for it to be humid along with the heat, it got to 105(f) yesterday and will probably be as hot today but the humidity was only 11% which was too high for me but probably a heck of a lot better than what you're dealing with.
Won't a fan help a little?
My swamp cooler is broken so I don't have that to help me either, generally I just nap during the hottest part of the day.

Using a fan just moves the hot air around. It is so unbelievably hot and humid. The hubby bought a couple of large window air conditioners and we are comfy in the two largest rooms. The rest of rooms I trthey not to go in for right now.

I feel bad for you not having a/c in this heat. No wonder you're melting.
I can't believe that your unit wasn't covered. I would have thought getting hit by lightening would be a given.

it was cool this morning here. I had to break up a fight between my cat and another cat. She's ok I think. She lost her collar, but I found it before my neighbor came to mow the grass.
