Continuing on with my favorite songs which use travel terms in the title. Here is a terrific video by REM which provides a clue for today's music trivia quiz. Enjoy the tune, it should put you on the road to getting some correct answers.... Do you know these songs and artists. Here Are Your Clues: 1. The song is about fear and making decisions based on fear. In the lyrics the artist is fighting off this fear by taking the wheel. It's about imagining what life would be like if you didn't live in a "fearful way". This song was the California Alternative band's highest charting single, peaking at # 9 in 1999. The song's title refers to what one does in a car. The group is named after an evil spirit who has sex with women while they sleep. Fun fact- every member of the band surfs. 2. This song is about a guy who meets an aspiring actress, and she has a keen interest in him. She tries to lure him in with suggestive comments, and the tune is filled with sexual innuendo. The band avoids being explicit in this area. Instead, the tune is just a song about a guy, a girl, and a car - making it another radio-friendly track from these British icons. The "beep beep" refrain in the song is a take-off on the band's own "yeah, yeah yeah"s in one of their previous breakout hits. 3. This was the band's highest-charting US single reaching # 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Sung by the group's bassist, this 1984 melancoly song about a woman whose losing her grip on life, was also the band's biggest international hit. In the lyrics the guy appeals to her saying "You can't go on, Thinking nothing's wrong." In 1978, this band was named the Best New Artist by Rolling Stone and Creem, among others. The American rock band emerged from the new wave scene in the late 1970s. Their sound merged 1970s guitar-oriented rock with the new synthesizer-oriented pop that was then becoming popular and which flourished in the early 1980s. The band had many successful albums and took off in 1978 with their self-titled LP which included hits like "Just What You Needed" and "Good Times Roll." Time to name your songs and artists. If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Glad to throw a few more hints your way and aid "your search of that lost chord" or in this case tune. And as always thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Liner Notes: -Travel songs deserving honorable mention: "All I Do Is Drive"/Johnny Cash and "Cars"/Gary Numan - Interesting Numan fact: He has stated that he has Asperger syndrome, which is a mild form of autism. As I always say 1 is better than none! #1- is a song from the 90's that I like from an alternative band. The song title is a term used when we put the car in gear and ----- #3- The band's name is another word for auto. Very popular new wave group in the late 70's to mid 80's. The song titles of all three songs contain the same word in them. Does that help?

As usual, no clue on those ones. I thought I had the band on one of them, but The Beach Boys is not named after an evil spirit. At least I hope not.

@dgobucks226 For #3 the only thing I could think of would be Drive. Though I've never heard of a group named drive, or a song by that name either.

Glad to provide some more clues-#2 is a song about an automobile from those Liverpool Lads. It is usually what one will do once they get in the vehicle. #1- is a song from the 90's that I like from an alternative band. The evil spirit is not the Beach Boys, thank goodness. It was a term used by this alternative band called "Incubus." I was trying to challenge John Roberts on this answer, but see I failed again (ha). #3- The band's name is another word for auto. Guess what the name of that song is...clue what you do with that auto once you put it in gear, lol. Thanks for responding Valerie.
