I was on Facebook one morning when I saw a post about a cat an owner was getting rid of. She was so beautiful. She had so many takers that includes me. I did not hesitate to ask if they can transport her to Michigan (where I used to live). The cat was in West Virginia. The rescuer emailed and called me that same day, and yes, they will transport the cat, a volunteer rescuer will be her companion the whole flight. The moment I saw her, I fell in love with her. She was skittish. Skeptical. Did not bother me. When we got home, I placed her in a separate room. She had bitten me like she was saying, "How dare you touching my coat?! OUT!!!" There was a good gush of blood, it did not freak me out. We had a very special bond after she's accepted my friendship. We spent time together a lot. She would kiss my cheek or lips just to wake me up. I miss it from Chiquita. My beloved Chiquita passed away early last year. She was 19. We had six years together and I feel like it was not enough. She will always be in my heart. I shed a tear every time I look at her pictures and this is my favorite picture of us. I don't want to forget her. I don't want to erase her from my memory. She will always be my baby.

@Icydoll I don't blame you. For me, I don't see myself without pets. I have had them since I was four. My mom was the one who introduced pets to me. She was an animal lover like me.

Chiquita had a very lovely owner in you . I am sorry to hear that she passed away last year. I know how much it can hurt to lose our furry friends.

@Deajae72 There are some people in this world who do not deserve to be pet owners. I am so glad that she found you and that the rest of her life was spent happy.

Thank you, Amber. Chiquita was underestimated by her previous evil owner. I cannot imagine how much she suffered from that terrible owner. Then, Chi and I found each other.

Oh, Chiquita was a lovely cat. She is similar to the beautiful girl cat Cha-Cha I had who passed away in 2009. I now have a handsome male cat, Sid. Do you have another cat? The only way I could stop missing my girl cat was by adopting another.
