I don't buy this alleged human sacrifice story...

Why? First and foremost, the 17 year old tried to rape on the 25th. And father got uncontrollably angry on the 28th. Anger cannot be held on for that long. Secondly the issue is about a cousin of the slain. Choices were send the boy to prison, send the boy away, send the girl away...instead he buys a country gun to kill his son. Sounds strange. Country guns cannot be bought overnight. And they cost money. Even if he was vexed with the boy's ways, killing meant more bad name for the family. Sending to the prison seemed more honorable and better way to handle things. So me being me suspects the slain to have been a witness to something wrong that the father did or was doing, and hence was killed, possibly because he was blackmailing the father....is honorable intent being used to cover unpalatable truth? I would need more investigation before publishing anything on the matter.
Police ruled out that incident was a human sacrifice and said boy used to allegedly molest his cousin and recently also tried to rape her.

I've read the article. What does 'human sacrifice' mean in this context? It sounds as if it were a custom that explained and excused the killing of a son.

Human sacrifices are common in some parts of country. People sacrifice to get a child, or wealth. Ignorance. Other cases of killing widows is not uncommon. Usually they ask for sacrifice of virgin girl but asking for killing of young boys is not unheard of.

I can't take this kind of issues. I don't understand why and how they can mistreat a relative or a family member.

Neither can I. But it does happen more often than not.

It does sound suspicious. I don't understand why a 17-year-old would rape his cousin, to begin with though.
