Favorite Movie Week - Day 6

No, there is no movie for day 5. No time for one with being away from home all day. However, Friday's movie is another classic, My Fair Lady. I thought that would be the best movie to watch after spending a day at the Botanical Gardens.
My Fair Lady stars Audrey Hepburn as a young woman with a terrible English accent, and Rex Harrison who teaches phonetics and the proper way to speak English.
He makes a wager with Colonel Pickering that he can pass her off as a duchess at the Assembly Ball. And so begins the complete change over of Eliza Doolittle from a woman who lives in the gutter and sells flowers, to a lady with perfect speech and manners.
If you haven't seen this movie, I fully recommend it. It won several Academy awards in 1964 including Best Picture.

I like the film very much. Especially the process by which the heroine learns a language. It has a great influence on me.

Thank you. Yes, it is. I love the costumes and especially the hats at the Ascott horse race. Everything about that movie is wonderful.

There are some old movies that I want to see and this is one of them. These old movies have a special feel, almost magical . Maybe I'll do some binge watching if I have the chance
