First Cucumbers...

Hello my fellow mylotters!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!! So, my BIG garden I planted isn't as big now because the weeds were taking over!! One of the ladies that works at the courthouse said that this year is the first year in 15 years that the weeds are the worst they have been!! So for the lettuce, kale, spinach and ground plants...they're history!! They've been mowed over, because it was so hard to keep the weeds down!! So, now I've only got tomatoes, hot peppers, cucumbers, cabbage and brussel sprouts, butternut squashes, spaghetti squashes and blended "patty" squashes and zucchini. Probably next year, I'll just have tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers and maybe plant other things in containers. We'll just plant grass and see what comes up in the grass. My strawberries and rhubarb are doing good as well. These are the first of my cucumbers!! Had some fried green tomatoes last night for supper!!! If you planted a garden or do container gardening, how are your crops doing???
