Do you ever wash stemware in the dishwasher?

Some of it appears to be sturdy and dishwasher safe, but I was just thinking of how many of them I have broken in the dishwasher. I don't think I will ever do that again. The only wine glasses I think I will wash in there are those that have no stem. I think they just become fragile over time. It's not a big deal to wash them by hand anyway.

Washing by hand is tedious. I like to just throw things in the washer.

@snowy22315 I feel it is tedious, too. Maybe I should buy a dishwasher, too.

@caopaopao If you can afford it, I would, but that's me.

Yes, some are very fragile and are best washed carefully by hand.

My stemware glasses are made of fine glass and the dishwasher would ruin them. I wash that, and other things, with my hands.

Yes, I think it depends on the type you have. I think I will ere on the side of caution next time.

I do all the time. Everything goes in the dishwasher. I wash almost nothing by hand.

I used to..but it never seems to work out in the long run. Maybe my glasses are too cheap.

@snowy22315 If it won't stand up in the dishwasher, then I don't want to own it.

I don't have a dishwasher but most seem too fragile to put in there. Even washing them by hand I've broken some. They are so slippery.
