Last night an ambulance came down my street and stopped at my neighbor's house. They have not lived there long, I would say less than a year. I know the family includes two elementary age children. This is the second time I have seen the ambulance over there. I am thinking perhaps one of the kids has a respiratory problem or something..just guessing. Anyway, it drove away slowly so, I think whatever happened the person was treated on the scene. My former roommate had those issues and had to be hospitalized a time or two while he was here. My current one does too as a matter of fact, but he has not needed an ambulance.

Yes, I hope not. No sirens were involved well actually they are not really needed here..as it was late and there was no traffic. I don't think the person was taken to the hospital. Urgency was not detected.

That would make me feel better that the sirens didn't zoom away after. My neighbor lived alone for years and had a stroke that left one side of his body not working. He had a button he could push if he fell and the ambulance would come pick him up. His insurance didn't cover it and it was costing $150 each time they came. Sometimes he would fall a few times in a day. I believe now he is living in a home where he can be watched. I was always worried about him falling all the time like that. He shouldn't have been living on his own the past few years but no one could talk him into going into a home.

Perhaps you can offer the hand of friendship and see if they need any help?
