Well I was right, about the storm at least. The skies are completely clouded over. It's getting darker by the moment and the thunder has started.
I know that a little south of me in Gainesville, the weather was supposed to get pretty bad. @moffittjc metioned it yesterday. We have an ongoing joke that when it is sunny here it is raining there and when it is crappy there it is sunny there. I wonder what the weather is like down now there.
I think I will wait and do the Walmart trip tomorrow. If the weather is going to get crappy I don't really want to be out in it.

We've been in severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings since 9am this morning. It's been crazy severe weather all day long here. I can't recall the last time I've seen this much lightning crashing down everywhere. It's pretty bad. And it's crazy, when you look at the radar map of Florida, it seems to be concentrated in the north central Florida area (I.e. Gainesville). I haven't been able to do anything today because it's been raining so hard. I was certainly granted my wish to lay around the house and do nothing today! lol

@thislittlepennyearns It's a freak thing going on with the jet stream right now. It has dipped down all the way from Canada into Florida, which almost never happens. The cold Canadian air from the jest stream is colliding with the warm tropical air of the Gulf of Mexico, causing these violent storms. It's been pretty much that way all week.

@moffittjc I can't get the radar to pull up. But its raining pretty hard here. Is it just storms, or is it a tropical thing?

It's been storming bad here in Gainesville all day today. But interestingly, this morning at about 9am, I looked on the Weather Channel and it said it was 82 out, with a heat index of 104. I thought it was a misprint, so I went online, and sure enough, the several weather sites I went to said the same thing. I can't believe the heat index was 20 degrees hotter than the actual temperature. I don't recall ever seeing that happen before. And a heat index of 104 at 9 in the morning? That's just crazy!!! Thank goodness all these severe storms rolled in!

Who is playing today? It's storming pretty bad here. Seems to be getting worse as the day goes on as well. But I am rewatching some episodes that I slept through.

@JohnRoberts Ah. Go team. I have't kept up with baseball in a long time. I used to somewhat follow the Mariners, but its bee a long time since I have done that.
