Nice Weekend

I must admit that it has been a nice weekend around here at Lovejoy Junction. The week started off rough. I had an ingrown hair turn into an abscess under my arm where my bra hits it. Well I went to the hospital and they gave me Keflex, which is derived from Penicillium and I am allergic to it. I had an immediate allergic reaction to it and they had to put me on Prednisolone, Benedryl, and Pepcid. I am finally feeling much better. I tell you, on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I was not up for nothing. Wednesday rolls around and I am feeling much better. I get online and focus on working on Swagbucks and InboxDollars so I can cash out at both places before the weekend. I manage to do so. I am on a roll with Swagbucks it seems. I have already earned $9.38 with them again after just cashing out. I am trying to get my online earnings back up to par. By Friday I am much better and in a good mood because of my earnings. I get up and start cleaning the house really well. I get caught up on all of my work around here. The laundry is caught up, the bathroom is clean, the living room is clean, the kitchen fridge is clean. I am on a roll and I hope it continues.

i cannot work hard even on weekends. i just prepare our food, but mowing, like what my sister is doing right now, i will pass.

@Shellyann36 the mowing, my sister prefers to do that. i think she has no trust to my son doing the mowing of our lawn. she has her own style of cutting the grass.

I'm not on that kind of roll. Good for you. I'm sorry you had an ingrown hair. Bummer. Good for you doing well with SB. I started out the month good with them, but I haven't been back unless I see the codes pop up, which I did earlier today. Only 2 SB though. The only roll I'm on is with my books.

that is wonderful. it went touch and go
because half the time i wondered if i was having a stroke as the weather has been extremely hot most of the time, then a pouring rain off and on making my breathing very rough and and allergies extreme. sweats then, chills, etc. not good. but i am hoping i am over it all a bit today. so far

@Shellyann36 yes 2 small ones. i think a lot of it is my breathing problems and age. i did get an antibiotic 3 days back but i quit that today early. gave me worse problems.

@LadyDuck they did ask me twice. The nurse that checked me in and the nurse that came into the room to take notes asked me. Normally, they put a red allergy band on and the check-in nurse forgot it. The PAC did not ask me and I assumed that she already knew. I had no idea that Keflex was derived from Penicillium.

@LadyDuck Unfortunately the nurse that checked me in should have been the one to put the red band on but she seemed to be in a bad mood. Perhaps that is why she forgot.

@Shellyann36 It is sad, but I am noticing that people do not do their jobs with the accuracy they used to have in the past. Here the nurse is the responsible of what happened, she had to put the red allergy band. The patients are not obliged to know the ingredients of all the prescriptions.

It's been a pretty laid-back weekend for me. I had to work Saturday, but it was easy office work and I got it done fairly quickly. Today (Sunday) was a lazy day because it was storming out pretty badly all day today. Good napping weather.

@Shellyann36 I love to sleep during the rain too, but unfortunately my boss keeps coming into my office and waking me up, saying things like "I'm going to fire you" or "Get your a&& back to work" or "Blah, blah, blah." lol

The weekend and even today are somewhat lazy. My spare bedrooms become Pile it rooms when I do not have company often.I have two of the three ready for company next week though.

@GardenGerty Oh, I feel you on that. When we lived in the larger house it seemed that every spare room became the pile it room. That was a lot of cleaning. Glad you got yours sorted out.

@Shellyann36 Yesterday (Sunday) was really bad, I made it to church but just came home and laid o the couch afterward. Even after a nap, I was not better. My jerking and twitching was really bad yesterday too.

@sallypup The energy is all gone now. I don't know if it was the steroid they gave me to help with the allergic reaction or what but my energy level went back down again now that I am not taking it.

My weekend was much better than my week. But couldn't been better. Sorry about the pain and reaction. Glad you're better now

The start of your week sometime sounds awful but I am glad it got better. I had a cyst under my armpit when I was a teen and I had to go without deodorant and shaving for a few weeks. I hated it! I don't recall if I had to take an antibiotic or not.
