Actually it is not really a joke but the most popular breakfast here in Thailand. It is rice soup with a little bit of pork, shredded ginger an egg and some unknown spices or herbs. It comes with a pack of sugar, red chili and green chilies in vinegar.

"Jok" the Thai term for congee (rice porridge) is also pronounce "juk" in Cantonese.

it looks like lugaw or goto, but here, people add either pepper, patis (fish sauce) or kalamansi (citrus) or all of them.

It is pretty good. It depends a lot on how much of the condiments you add. Starts off bland but then it can be earth shattering!
