Which is better during the rainy season,getting an umbrella or rain jackets

I'm contemplating going for the best one now,I have had some umbrellas but all got stolen don't know how.will need a new one now.don't know if a raincoat or jacket will be a lot better at least it will be on my body.no need forgetting in the stores or misplacing easily. Which do you prefer?

A lot depends on whether your wet season is a cold wet season or a hot one. If it's hot, you're probably better off with an umbrella as the coat will be way too hot for you.

I prefer using an umbrella over raincoat i think it's easy to use.

If I ride a bike, I'd rather wear a raincoat. If not, I'd like to take an umbrella.

I feel hot inside raincoats and sometimes I got irritated by it. I preder umbrellas.
