It can be bad since it might considered obsession. But I myself isn't safe from this.

@Letranknight2015 I don't think it's an obsession friend. I am the kind of person that is not easy to throw or give away those things I have that has a sentimental value. I know I seem to overdo it. But I am hoping to change for the better, well hopefully.

@lady1993 There are other clothes, blouses i gave to my helper, but after learning that she gave it away to others as well. I didn't give her again. I know she has the right to give it too but I wish i never knew about it.

@lovinangelsinstead21 The truth is if not for the bad weather last week, have never checked that I have so much clothes that won't fit anymore and need to be discharged. Every time I am folding those seems I can't let go.

I don´t think about clearing out very much I just do it and that´s it and I have been forced to shift a lot of things that I would have liked to keep also.

@Ladyduck Last weekend was my time to clean up all those old clothes, bags and other things, even books. I have so many but everytime I holding those i can remember who gave me, or why i bought those. Funny after all these years, I am still keeping those, nearly two decades that I have those.

@banksim, I don't really see it as a material thing or anything of value because those are old garments/ and things that I don't use anymore but can be used by others. Can't be use by myself coz i grow bigger and it won't fit me. lol But still not easy to give away.

Depends. I have too many stuff I don't even use. They are just clutter all over the house but somehow I haven't been able to throw them away.
I always have to remind myself, we can't bring those things with us when we die. But if you like to pass it on to someone else that's good too. :D I've given away some stuff before. Others I just sell online.
Btw, I think you haven't seen my message to you yet. You mentioned you'd like a link so I have sent it last month.

i had an officemate whom i gifted with a wallet in her favorite color. when i followed her up about it, she said she won't use it. she likes displaying and looking at gifts she received.

@hereandthere That we can't avoid to happen. I lost a lot of things too because of floods. A lot of picture albums, important documents as well. But I'm still thankful because we were safe. And that is the most important thing. Materials things may vanished but the memories that goes with it will always be in our hearts.

I'm like that. I have clothes I have had for many years and I can still wear them. I do give them away if I can fit in them anymore.

@lcydoll, Yeah i know that is I think a positive trait too. But my problem is I have lots of things that I don't use anymore but its not easy to give it away.

@Starmaiden I also have the baby tags of my kids when they were born. I can very well understand you. And my kids are smiling when they can see their stuff when they were born. When I'm holding it when cleaning, can't help to be a little emotional. Those tiny stuff they have and now how they are so big. Hmmnnn I am really this sentimental.

@chavezrmc I understand. I don't have many things, including baby pictures of my children, that I have held on to, but I still have their original "birth certificates". (The little ID cards that the hospital puts on their nursery that has the name, date, time of birth, all the measurements... I can't bring myself to get rid of them.

I used to be but less so now.
Back around 10 years ago I massively downsized and now every possession I have can fit in my car.
It was a bit of a wrench at first but I much prefer travelling light.
