Biting Our Fingernails..For A While Anyway...

Was just watching the Tour de France when a Rider went over the top of a wall on the Road. We must have all done some nail biting when we saw what happened as it was quite steep where he fell. Of course we did not get to find out right away what was happening to him. He suddenly appeared our Phil over the top of the wall and was helped up again. What a nasty nasty fall. I was quite surprised to see him get on his bike and he was a bit wobbly so I think he must have suffered some kind of injury. All credit to him he did not give up right away.
From Saturday 7th of July to Sunday 29th of July 2018, the 105th Tour de France includes 21 stages for a total length of 3 351 kilometers. ALAPHILIPPE Julian...

Actually he broke his knee cap Bun and he did try to get on his bike and cycle but he was wobbling and I reckon they saw something wrong right away for his own safety he gave up the race. Good thing he did a broken knee cap must be quite nasty to deal with.

@lovinangelsinstead21 oh so sad. anything broken on the body is hard to deal with i have found. but worse if it keeps you from walking and i know about that. at least he is young enough to heal quicker and well off financially enough to get plenty of help and wheel chair etc.

The Bike Race itself is exciting and the scenery is breathtaking if you see it all the way through and the Commentator is very quick and agile and takes you quickly all through what happened.

@Shellyann36 He is a bit hard to follow but it seems he will be doing the "Paris Tours" which is a race of some kind so he seems to be doing very well and he did a further 60 kilometres when he broke his kneecap ouch what a guy many congratulations for such a tough guy. Good luck to him in that race in Paris.

I thought when he went over the top of the wall that he was going to be really badly injured you know considering the altitude they were at and the steep slope behind that wall. He was very lucky to get out of it albeit with a broken knee cap.

@FayeHazel I reckon its a must to get past the injury if he can nicely does it though the knee is quite hard to recover sometimes.

I met quite a few who joined similar races and got injured. I admire them greatly.

So do I. They are all Champions in their own right not just the ones at the top. To be in those Races they have to be good very good.

@YrNemo I don´t think that they think about that really for them its their passion and it makes them forget the risks.

I don´t know how he got back over the wall in one piece again. I thought he must be badly injured. But he was okay for a while.

Whoah it is some kind of an act their. Good thing he was able to play it good and safe.

He fell over the wall because of the terrific speed he was going and miscalculated the curve in the road.
