what are you grateful for

my best friend died two weeks ago. he was one of the kindest, most caring people i've ever known. i miss him very much. the last two weeks have been difficult and it's been hard to be anything but sad and depressed... but i was extremely grateful for knowing him and having him as a friend. so i started thinking about all the amazing people/things i have in my life and realized how truly lucky/ appreciative i am for that. gratitude is helping me shift my focus on what i lost - to what i have gained and all the wonderful things in my life. so i wanted to ask all of you.. what are you grateful for?

To have a true friend is something to be thankful. I can understand the emotional feelings you're going through. Very often we take for granted that which life has given us until they are taken away. Good relationships more than anything else is something I value and I'm grateful for.

I am grateful for everything in my life. I had a great childhood from the time I remember, about 4 or 5 years old until now at 76. Of course there were some down sides here and there but nothing I couldn't handle. I have a great family and so many wonderful friends throughout my life and I still have so many of them that I have had for over 60 years. The people in my life made me who I am today and what I have taught to my children and grandchildren.

I'm sorry to hear this. Yes, it is not easy to forget someone who give us strength to live and who always makes us happy when they're around.
