How Robots and Artificial Intelligence can be our Savior

We are living in uncertain times. Some have a view robots and Artificial Intelligence can enslave us. However, I see a silver lining on the horizon. Most of the issues of our world, I feel, are due to our emotional response to issues. We have our egos and our leaders even more so. So it is always I win, you lose, and that means peace loses to war. As long as human emotions are at play, we stay divided, as everyone wants to have their way. Now we are easing into a robotic world and also artificial intelligence is taking over. That means we are stepping to the backstage ever so slowly but steadily. Then why not get the best out of them to solve our issues sans emotions? Whenever we have issues that threaten to go out of control just input data and, lo and behold, the decision is made. It can be at the highest level, even between countries. Are they not doing now by interfering even in elections of other countries? The reality is here; borderless technological forays decide the outcome of elections across borders! That being the case, let us snuff our emotions when they create havoc and perpetuate enmity. Let the machines decide, we agree and move on. Image: Artificial Intelligence from Pixabay

The idea of robots and artificial intelligence ruling the world is scary.

The human touch is getting lost with automation, bots, taking over. We are losing ground - siva

@Shiva49 Yes, we are. The bad thing is that with the automation age, people will lose jobs to robots. That will be a huge problem.

@Shiva49 and the 'thanks for sharing, what did you have for lunch' are examples of robots within us humans.

@ridingbet I read such comments and even posts at times! I have been on online sites for nearly ten years; we should go beyond the very basic to make our time worth the while - siva

Interesting, but it will never work to the good. Why would we give up free will to robots? Even if you and I do because we think it's a good idea, will evil people give up power to robots or anyone? Yes, robots can be useful. They can work 24 hours a day. They can do things with precision and so never make mistakes. They can be used for many professions. However, they will never be our saviours! I keep saying it and I'll say it again, if there was no Supreme God, we would be doomed because we may be so intelligent in many things and very are very stupid where it really counts. We still smoke after all the common sense and medical evidence that it bad, bad, bad. That's why there is no world peace or unity. God never gave us the capacity to run the world as it should be run. We are programmed and our Creator and Designer kept some things for himself.

I was prompted to think this way as human emotions are running wild at the highest level to decide what direction we are taking. Relations between countries are built and ruined due to erratic human behavior. It is becoming clear even elections are influenced by determined outside effort as technology has no borders. In a way, misinformation is injected to confuse the electorate. My point is fewer emotions will benefit us overall in decision making but we still need the human touch. Now the big powers say each is right from their point of view. Since we are into AI, why not make a foray by inputting hard data and see the result. Of course, we may not agree even on the basic data as emotions and cultural preferences influence us. The reality is we cannot even agree to disagree. It may be due to leaders disliking another for various reasons and even for no reason! Friends become foes and vice versa! I believe if we self-destruct, our planet will go on without us and even thrive in other ways. We may be the only species that can self-destruct and even cause damage to nature to affect other species. The creator will not spare us for going against him having reposed so much confidence in us. I too believe there is a higher force guiding the process. Personally, I think what we know about our origins may not be the real deal. There are recordings of alien influences and what some have across here could be just their robots. Even what we think may be prompted from an outside source. We are after all sparks from the one and only source - siva

Nano bots could allow us to cure ourselves in some way or another.

We are emotional beings and that creates issues.at times. Maybe robots can help us to see reason during difficult times and make us sober! siva
