Months and months ago my daughter talked me into buying tickets for her and so to the Warped Tour when it came to a city nearest us. Later on I found out I get in free with her ticket as she is under 18. They wouldn’t refund the money. My boyfriend and his son said they would go. Two days before the concert he realized he couldn't get the day off so he asked me take his son which I was nervous but agreed. Then at midnight I got a text saying his son saw who was playing and all the bands suck so he didn’t want to go. I wish I had tried selling the ticket after I knew I didn’t need it. It was a waste of $45 dollars. I’d have rather given it away for free then it just go to waste like that! As soon as we parked a traveling monk approached my van and lured $1 from me then didn’t appreciate the small amount. I’m still irritated about it over 24 hours later lol. All the food was expensive so I ate saltines I brought with me as a snack and then just bought my daughter lunch and dinner. We had bottles of water we kept refilling for free at the hydration stations. We had some girls who rudely squished their way between us then we couldn’t see as well as people smoking right next to us in the crowd of people listening to the show. I put sunblock on but even reapplying it I got a sunburn. One of the vendors was an animal rights thing where you watched a 4 minute video and would be given $1. I had no idea what the video was about until we started watching it and was horrified. It was called Compassion over Killing, Beyond the lies. It definitely needed a warning before watching. Two girls hung up the head phones and walked away without finishing! I couldn’t blame them it was really hard to watch. Those were the only things about the day that weren’t good. My daughter had such an awesome time and it made it all totally worth it. We got to watch 8 bands. Palaye Royale was my favorite for sure! Simple Plan and Falling in Reverse were good too. My daughter bought 8 cds with the money she earned from the yard sale. She also got to meet the singer from With Confidence. We watched WaterParks first and they were an adorable boy band. We also saw State Champs but I don’t recall much about their songs or performance. Each band had about 20 minutes to play songs before packing up and the next band setting up. The photo is of the huge blow up sign with the times the bands were playing. There were a lot to choose from a you can see. It was a very long day of walking around and standing and watching the shows. In the 16 hours we were gone we maybe sat for only 2 1/2 hours and that includes the drive there and back. It might not sound like a good time but like I said my daughters happiness made it all worth it!

two people I know, went to this when it came here a few weeks ago too. they loved it and are sad its over. I would've liked to see simple plan, though was not big on them. don't know the rest of the bands. sucks about your boyfriend, and his son. My mom and I say the same all the time, its better to give the ticket to someone for free so its used than to waste the money altogether.

@Courtlynn When it came to this he said he couldn't take the day off but then after my kids and I get home from Lake George he said he took that Wednesday off. I think because he was home so late from a Blues Travelers concert the night before. Kinda irked me. The tour is officially over now and my daughter is still talking about how awesome it was and how she wishes it was going to be on next year. She wants me to take her to a palaye royal concert in November but I told her no. It's too expensive and it's to hard to find someone to stay home with her brother.

@Courtlynn Palaye Royale is a newer band. They remind me of My Chemical Romance.

@amitkokiladitya that's pretty much how everything in my life is trying to make my kids happy. I love them so much and they won't always be young and living home with me.

@Shellyann36 Even though I didn't really care for most the music I would not have missed her excitement over watching it for the world. She is still so happy days later watching the videos we took and photos.

@Jessabuma thank you so much. Have you ever been to any concerts? This was my second one but it was so different then the other one I went to which was one band inside. This was like 30 bands outside on 6 stages.

We used to attend things like this back in our past and many times it was interesting. We did find a group we really liked and bought their CD but most of the time they quit doing things like that around here due to all of the Budget cuts.

@snowy22315 absolutely! I was surprised how few other parents I saw! They must check them in then leave and pick them up later. No way would I feel safe doing that and I wouldn't have missed watching my daughters excitement for the world! I did however make her move to the back when we started getting pushed around in a mosh pit we got caught in lol. She told me it was just getting exciting and I ruined the atmosphere or something like that.

@PainsOnSlate it's been two weeks now or so and she is still talking about it. I guess the entire tour just ended and since it is the very last tour ever they are putting out a collectors pack she is dying to get. We are having a yard sale this weekend and she is hoping to earn enough money to buy the collectors pack.
