Not a Walk at The Park

I intended to go for a walk at the park today but the parking lot was completely full. I think everyone is enjoying the last few outings before school starts. The playground was running over with kids and all the picnic tables taken. Hammocks were attached to every tree. I had books to place in the book box but we circled around the parking lot and drove on. I'll take the books another day.
We weren't far from Kholes so we drove on to the store. I wanted to use the last money on a gift card we've had since Christmas. I looked at their sales and bought dish towels marked down from 19.00 to 8.00 and wash clothes marked down from 10.00 to 3.00. I still have dish towels I have never used so I put these in the linen closet and I'll use them at a later date.
We came back to the complex and stopped at the gym. We met friends there and chatted awhile. I walked an hour on the treadmill. A pretty good walk. That's about my usual walk at the park. It was boring but not too bad. I watched people in the swimming pool and others walking their dogs down the trail at the back of the gym. I hope you had a good Saturday.

I did have a good Saturday, I gave my cemetery tour today so I am glad that is over. I am glad that you got your walk in even if it was boring.

@BelleStarr You sound like one of my sisters. She does everything at her church that nobody else wants to do.

Too bad there was no room at the park. Just a day of grocery shopping and working on the PC. Looking forward to getting offline and relaxing. Hope you have a great Sunday.

I like some things at Khols, but not their prices, so don't go there often.
Sorry the walk on the treadmill was boring.. but good for you getting the walk in.

@RubyHawk I wont either. but I love the jean brand Mudd, and only they sell them now, so when I need pants, I have to go there and hope they have a sale going for them.

@Courtlynn Sometimes you can't avoid it, I went to Marshals today to get my betterhalf a wallet and found a cute dress on the sale rack for 7.00. I hardly ever wear a dress but I couldn't resist that price. It's white with black stripes going around and it just fits. I hit the jackpot. It also has long sleeves.

@RubyHawk It is indeed a beautiful path to walk. You are so lucky to have it in your neighborhood.

@arunima25 Yes, it's a beautiful walk. I should use it more often but it's not as long as the trail at the park.

There are many evenings where I'll go for a walk in a local park. It's always nicest right around sunset. although that's when mosquitoes start coming out.

Since we were hitting 96 or so (again), we stayed home, watered the plants and hanging pots later and had a great fresh tuna salad for dinner.

I'm sure everyone was out enjoying the last days before school starts. I'm sorry the parking lot was full up, but it's good to know the kids were out playing instead of inside playing on their gadgets. I'm glad you had a good walk on the treadmill.
