~Great Family Day!~

Hey everyone! I hope you're doing well tonight and I hope you have had a lovely day!
Our day was really good. We went to the park with the kids and it was great! =) The kids played on the playground, we saw turtles, we looked at the water, we met a squirrel friend, saw some pretty flowers and found a few rocks from our local rocks group! =) We had a really good family day and I am so grateful to God for it!!
Now that we found that one rock we joined the local rocks group and we will start making our own! We will put inspiring messages on them, Bible verses and encouraging reminders for others. It will be so much fun for all of us! Even my husband enjoyed rock hunting with us today at the park after we found the first one--and we found 2 more together! 
So...that was our day. How was yours?

@LovingMyBabies I think the story of how you found the first rock and what verse or saying you put on your first rock would make good reading. Perhaps you could also mention any particularly interesting or humorous ones you've found.

In light of your post I may try this myself. Seems our little town is in the dumps and needs a lift.
Perhaps some words found on a rock would inspire others to reach deep within and find new hope.

That sounds like a really nice way to spend the day.
We slept at our son's house on Friday night, as they are away on holidays and we wanted to keep an eye on things for them.
Our morning Saturday was peppered with work and fun.
Since the kids live in the area that we used to live, we went to one of our favorite places to eat breakfast, and I ran into a guy that I used to work with. It was nice to see him and eating there was always great.
My husband got some work done around our son's house, and then around 1pm we drove back home again. We spent the afternoon quietly, as I was really tired.

Sounds fun ! My day was good--I took my dog to the park, and she got to play with several other dogs--I went to the local bus transit office to get my purse, which I had left on the bus (everything was still in it--thanking the Lord for that), walked from there to the grocery store and did some shopping, then walked home. Figured out by "Googling" distances to and from the places I walked today that I walked a little over four miles today. When I get some money, I really want to get a step counter. :)
