Nothing interesting yesterday

I really could not come up with anything interesting yesterday.
Today we will go bring home the pop up cover, and the various products hubby has for sale. I hope to be back home quickly.
This summer I have done more to organize my house than I have in the two and three quarters years we have been here. I like not having a job. I do not like not having money.
Yesterday the mower quit on me. I wonder if I have just killed it by trying to mow too much deep grass. It seems I kill at least one a year.
It rained some last night, so that means more growing grass. I got behind when I spent five days staying with Dad.
Of course I knew it would rain as I had left pillows hanging on the line to freshen up. It is a good thing as they had just issued water usage warnings. It seems the drought is taking a toll on everyone around. Predicting some rain for the next two or three days. Often it falls through, though.
I have a couple of cucumbers to pick. The city does not even want us watering gardens.
So it is time to get up and go. More cleaning and organizing when I get back. I am looking forward to it.

Yes, school is out, it is summer. We have a lot of hot weather, but usually a lot of fun as well. I always try to be careful with water usage.

Glad you got cleaning and organizing done. I could not work as I need money to pay bills and love having some spending money. But I need to catch up on my house cleaning too I have fell behind as I'm hardly home.

This is why I am hoping to do home based work as much as possible. I have gotten a lot of cleaning and organizing done and would like to do more.

I will work this afternoon for a few hours and then come home and make chicken and pasta so that I have lunch for tomorrow and then probably go to bed pretty early since i have to leave for work at 530 am tomorrow

I am also on a deep cleaning and organizing mission coming next two weeks. I am going slow, one corner in a day, devoting 2 hours each day. I do it after every three months.

When we had a problem with drought, and we had water restrictions. I would shower and plug the bathtub. Collect the water in buckets and lug it to our garden. Our garden was lush and green while others were withering and turning to dust.
We have blossoms on our cukes, but nothing to show yet. Have harvested a bunch of yellow squash and zucchini, cherry tomatoes too.

With us it is no tomatoes yet. I have some sweet peppers in a flower pot and a couple of cukes. When it is too hot sometimes fruit will not set on plants. At my other house I put a bucket in the shower and collected water for my outdoor plants.

Our lawn looks horrible, brown and yellow. We haven't been watering it in order to save on water usage, although we have a drip irrigation system hooked up for our tomatoes and cucumbers.

We have had enough rain for our grass to be overwhelming, but the lakes are all down, the wheat crop did poorly. I have my garden in containers and drizzle a little water on them.

It must have sprinkled overnight here, things are wet, but the sun is shining now.
