Return to Snowy River

I watched the movie Return to Snowy River last night and if you are a horse lover like I am it is a movie you would enjoy. It is a 1988 Walt Disney movie set in Australia and what I would describe as the Australian version of the old Western movies.
Return to Snowy River is a breathtaking adventure/romance set in the Victoria Alps but for me the horses were the stars of the show. If you enjoy the heart pounding action of horses against the backdrop of rugged terrain and spectacular vistas, this show delivers.
I think horses are beautiful, magnificent animals. What are some of your favorite animal movies?

@Freelanzer I have a friend who is passionate about horses and has all the movies on horses and she lend them to me a few years ago and watched and enjoyed them all.

I like animal movies as long as they are not sad. I watched the Jungle Book late this morning.

No sad parts in this one but there are some tear jerker moments but in a good way.

I also love stories about horses; is "Sea Biscuit" one of those movies? I just could not remember. Horses are really beautiful, I love it when they prance/dance during competitions.

I have seen Sea Biscuit as well and it was a very inspirational movie.
. I watched a beautiful movie years ago about the adventures of a cat and a dog making their way back home. The title has slipped me.

I loved Snowy River and Return to Snowy River. The Australian backdrop is great for the movie. The only one coming to mind is Old Yeller. I know there are others.

I was wondering what it was when saw the horses in the picture. I am not a horse person but do enjoy the shows on Netflix I have seen about horses. It is about families and not just horses. That is what I like about them.
