Great News Today

My next door neighbor who fell down about a month ago outside while walking her dog, got home today from the hospital. She broke some bones in her hip and had them fixed. She didn't need to have the hip replaced but had some pins put in it.
She went from the hospital to a rehab center and was there a few weeks.
She looks great and is very aware of everything and is as spunky as anything but she does move a lot slower. She has a walker. I think she is 90 years old.
Luckily we live in a senior community and between my husband and I and the neighbors on the other side of me are taking good care of her until her son drives back down here from New Jersey.

@toniganzon I go in there a few times a day and I told her if she needs something just call me or wave me out the window. I can look over there at her window. I told her she should put a light in the window. She is a very determined lady.

She is a riot. She got home today and made it up the stairs and got to her chair. My neighbor on the other side of me and myself were there to welcome her home. She looks great and she got comfy in her chair and her dog was so happy. After awhile I went home and told her I would check on her and so will the other neighbor. When I went back about an hour later she asked me how to get her computer on. I couldn't stop laughing. She is one amazing woman. I have been back and forth checking on her and our windows face each other so she can wave to me if she needs anything.

@LadyDuck This lady is so spunky. I go next door to see her everyday and the people on the other side of me are in and out of there all day long. I have really gotten to know her and she is so sweet. She said when she fell down that night she was walking her dog and was in front of an empty lot. She kept yelling for help and the dark kept barking. Finally someone heard her and called the ambulance.
