Upcoming elections in the US

So the other day I received a text message from a Democrat candidate's campaign telling me I hadn't voted yet according to the state and did I need a replacement ballot? I replied that I had just received my ballot and intended to vote. I was extremely annoyed, however. Talk about an invasion of privacy. I would not have voted for that particular candidate anyway, but if I was on the fence the text message would have pushed me the other direction. I always vote but long ago I learned to vote for the people who have the same morals and ideals I do, and to not just vote a party line. Anyone else have any election stories?

I did my absentee voting about a week ago. I have received voting messages, too, but not from a party side. It is just a voting organization telling me that I did not vote yet. That irritates me because it makes me think it was not received.
