Now you can print your own 3D firearm!

The Trump administration has blithely approved putting designs for making your own firearm with a 3D printer online. In fact, more than 1000 people have already downloaded the design to make your very own AR-15 semi-automatic assault style rifle (This one is great for mass shootings). Handgun designs will also be available. The nice thing about these DIY guns is that they are plastic, have no serial number and are pretty much untraceable. All you need is the plan, the plastic material and access to a 3D printer. Gee, my public library has 3D printers ! It is not as if there is a shortage of firearms in the US. There are more out there already than their are people in the US. This move is almost unbelievable to me, but it happened.

@JamesHxstatic - This decision has horrified me, too, and the terrible thing is that the decision cannot be undone. Now that the blueprints are out there, even if a future administration takes them down, the blueprints are already out there. People can pass them around, email them to each other, save them on their computers. This decision is one of the worst ones of the Trump administration, and they have made some very bad decisions.

Never was there a more dangerous administration in charge of the US, led by an apparent mad man.

@DeborahDiane Truly so. Maybe Jimmy Carter was right about our "sick society."

@JamesHxstatic - I completely and totally agree with you! I am amazed not only by our leaders, but that there are so many people who blindly support them, no matter what they do. It saddens me.

I seen it on the news last night, one guy said it would take 40 hours to download and print the plan.

Some will no doubt do it, since they are untraceable.

Plastic or steel, they are both assault weapons, designed to kill other people! Why would our government stoop so low, to permit such instructions to be given Online? Will this stop the traumatic shootings, all over our country? No, it will make them worse!

@JamesHxstatic Now, whoever can't afford an assault rifle, will be able to simply make one at home! This terrifies me, our government has gone down hill:(

Doesn't it add fuel to the fire and make the situation in shooting incident even worse?

It really does and makes no sense. Eight states or more are suing the Federal government.
