That was the gist of the question my co worker asked when she came out of the class room to where I was sitting out in the yard on the edge of the cement curb that leads up to the door. Me: "Feel what?" My co-worker: "The earthquake." Me: "No." Evidently, it was a 3.7-3.9 magnitude quake that hit some distance away from us. I have yet to hear of any big damage or anything. Ah, so much fun to live in California...

Yes, it sounds like that one surprised a lot of people, but you should not be surprised when you live in California and feel an earthquake. I live in Japan and am not surprised either! Anyway, I am prepared so even if it is a big one I'm not too worried, and I guess that living in California you are too.

Some people are not sensitive to slight earthquakes especially when you're busy doing something else.

For this year alone, we have felt the earth shakes. Still scary to imagine if it is the same quake that hit my province in 1990. 7.9 magnitude.

I think the closer you are to the ground, the more likely you feel in case of mild shakes
