My sister in law approached my husband asking to repair her netbook because it has no power at all. My husband was busy so I decided to repair it myself. I did some diagnostic approach to test the netbook but still no sign of recovery. So, I decided to open it to see the inside and to my surprise there were a lot of dusts and some were already covering the ICs in the motherboard. I carefully cleaned it up crossing my fingers that it will now turn on but still, no sign of power. I'm sad because I wasn't able to repair it. I was thinking of repairing it and give it as present in her birthday but I was unsuccessful. Is there anyone here who knows how to repair no power in netbooks? UPDATE: Picture attached was the inside of the netbook after removing it's casing.

I think there is a need for inside repair for that. Did you try connecting the adapter to the netbook if it will power on?

@JustBhem Yeah I agree to that. I guess it's the mainboard.

There are several things that can cause why the power button of a netbook will not work when pressed. 1) Netbook Battery Experiencing Leaks 2) Electrical Voltage Unstable 3) Damage to Netbook Hardware 4) Damage to Power Button Section

@May2k8 I already tried those you listed. I guess it's the processor or the mainboard. But I'll try to insert another functioning RAM to see if it's also causing the problem.
