My dishwasher is the best.

I have told you some time ago that my eldest daughter gave me her dishwasher. It had little use and replaced my old one that had died after over 20 years of use. Every time that I have friends over, I thank that gift in my heart. I don´t like to end up after a nice evening washing dishes. And I don´t like to leave everything dirty. These friends I had today come every Tuesday and Leticia does not come in any Wednesday. So I must clean up. I scrub the dishes and place them in the dishwasher. I have enough dishes to fill the dishwasher (or almost). So the kitchen looks perfect, my conscience is free of guilt and the dishwasher will do the job one of these days. Tomorrow I have friends for tea again. The dishwasher will help. Do you have a dishwasher?

Yes we have a dishwasher that I only use when we have guests. Usually I prefer to wash our dishes manually, it takes 5 minutes.

We wash mostly by hand when there´s just LLeticia and I. But it is wonderful when we have guests.

@LadyDuck When Tania called me and asked me if I wanted her dishwasher, I thought it was a very old one and that I could use it until I got a new one. But I guess this one will be my last one. It is almost new.

How I wish we have because it would be a lot easier for my youngest Brother to do the washing.

I don't have a dishwasher. I wonder whether it can help very much. Since you have to use the water to clean the dishes and then put them into the dishwashers. I find it is a little inconvenient. I like to put them into the dishwasher when I gather them.

I take out part of the grease depending on what the dishes have.

Yes and I love it. When I cook, I put my prep bowls into the dishwasher which helps with the cleanup. I wash pots and pans by hand, so all I have to do is put the dirty dishes and utensils into the dishwasher and let them get clean that way.

@marguicha I always have. Some pots and pans aren't really made for the dishwasher.

I missed a dishwasher after my old one broke down and I had a big amount of guests for lunch here. Now it is easy.

It does. But I scrub the dishes with hot water before I place them in the dishwasher.

I use it for my dishes. I wash my pans by hand though. Washing the dishes in a dishwasher means that they dry without being touched by my hands.

Your dishwasher seems very much appreciated. We have a dishwasher and before our sons moved out on their own we ran it almost every day. Now it is just the two of us and we may only run it once or twice a week.

No, I don't have a dishwasher--it wastes water, electricity and money! Plus you scrub dishes and then use the dishwasher??? Hope you don't pay the water bill. :O)

I gave my dryer to my eldest daughter some years ago. She had 3 children and then we were 2 people.

My husband bought me one when I started with my terrible back pains (that ended in back surgery). But that was over 25 years ago probably. It broke down last year but my daughter gave me hers.
