Women can do everything if they want to

Me on a new found "job"

Yes, we just need courage and trust ourselves. Yesterday, a girl hurt herself when she crossed the little bamboo bridge in going to my cousins store. One of her feet stuck in between the bamboos. I saw it because I was asking her what she wanted to buy. I immediately went to her and helped her. Then I did a first aid treatment with my cousin inside my house. After that, my cousin and I was fixing the broken bamboo. No man available at home as my brother was working and I didn't want my hubby to fix the "bridge" under the heat of the sun. So my cousin and I did the carpenting job. It was not finished yesterday as there were no more woods. Last night I asked my brother to write the number of the woods and nails and told him we can't wait for him and the next victim that we women just fix it ourselves. This early morning my cousin and I was doing the now wooden bridge to our store. Plenty of passers by was surprised seeing us doing a mans' job under the heat of the sun. Another positive qualification for my cousin as the neighborhood were telling my cousin how a good party she would be in their family. Lol Have you done a carpentry job yourself as a woman?

Yes, it is indeed @hereandthere. The girl is our neighbor and her mother just laughed when she told her her story. When she came over last night for another treatment, she felt wake because I think she had eaten fruit salad that made her sick while we were dressing her leg. She was pale and she vomited while we were holding the basin for her. Gladfully, my cousin was fast to get the basin. Before she went home, I gave her camomile and a zinc oxide so she can continue treating herself at home. I have let her drunk tea for her trouble stomach .

Yes, I made a stool to place my potted plant. Also one time, I cut(sawed) the foot of our wooden furniture because I do not want it too high, and nobody can do it, so I did the carpentry work.

I hope you will have somebody to do it for you. I did it with my cousin because it was an emergency and no man around who could do it for me at that time when it happened. Thanks @jaboUK

Congratulations to you! That is wonderful. Women can do anything they set their mind to doing. I leave the carpentry to my husband or professionals.

Thank you @DianneN. I would have left that handy work too to the professionals if it was not emergency. No carpenter whom I know of when it happened. My brother used to do it for me but he was working.

I had to fix a highchair for my little girl many years ago. I was very proud of myself, cutting a piece of wood manually, and wrapping it in some vinyl material then put the whole thing together. Quite a work of art there.

@thelme55 Extra proud of myself since my husband refused to let me keep that highchair. The fact that our little girl kept using it for years afterwards, annoyed him greatly .

Oh yes when I was young I would help my grandfather as he tried to make some chairs. I really enjoyed all sorts of handy work at home when I was a kid until my teenage years. IN fact, I did some plumbing too and some electrical work. I beat my brothers when it came to those things. They know nothing.

They should teach their girls and spouse how to do some of that. As a guy I was not encourage to do those things until I have seen carpenters recently fixing parts of our home and the construction has helped me how to do things. NO big deal, woman can even do welding.
