I am trying to catch up on my notifications. When I answer someone, I go to delete that notification and can't find it, forget who I answered, or forget what is about.
Then I need to go through the list again and try to figure out where I am. The only way I can keep track is to always do the bottom one. How do you keep your notifications straight?

You can start at the top. Answer then delete one at a time. Or begin at the top and go down the list until done and delete.

I generally answer from top down and delete as I go.
As I'm not that active it works for me but then I only have a few notifications.
For people very active they'll pile up but I'd suggest still going top down until you clear them.

I do from top to bottom. I keep answering and deleting. But I make sure now that notifications don't pile up beyond 50, then it becomes a tiresome job. Also I just scroll down and disable all likes. This reduces the number. This was a suggestion by one of the users here and it works.

@akalinus I am sure you would be able to finish it.

@arunima25 They pile up really fast and there is always a bunch to answer.

I answer from top down and then delete as I go. If it's my own discussion, sometimes I will just delete the notifications for all responses and then go to my discussions page and go through them like that.

@akalinus That happens to me a lot. I wish they had a bit better of an organization system with the notifications but it is what it is.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is not too bad if you check them several times a day. If I skip a day, it is bad.

Because you're very active you'll have probably hundreds of notifications more than me.
I only get notified when someone responds to a discussion, mentions me or comments on a response.
If you haven't cut down what you're notified about I'd suggest that as a first thing to do.
Then, personally, I'd just go top to bottom answering and deleting as you go.
If you get notifications piling on top just carry on top to bottom.
The other thing I do, which many many people find strange, is delete my discussions very regularly and often after just a day or so.
Purely because I get bored of some of them and have often said the same thing in a variety of ways to multiple responders.
I find it better to remove discussions so as not to receive responses on a discussion I consider over.

That is where I get confused. There are always new notifications on top. Sometimes the same person responds to more than one discussion. I often have no idea what I am doing on here. I do try to answer or at least like every comment I get.

@Mike197602 Activity is good, it is a response and responses add up to pennies.

In the worse case that you had forgotten, just let it go, do not be too stress over it.

I get confused, too. I'm going to have to try that bottom first trick.

@akalinus It does get very confusing, otherwise, when new ones keep coming in.

Starting from the bottom and working your way up is the only way to do it since the new ones load at the top, that way I never forget as long as I delete them after I answer as I go.

@akalinus you are right...New update always on top. Also you can off some notifications in setting tab.For example you can off, "like" notification and others so you can find new notification easily.I hope this helps

If you have them coming to your email sometimes that is a good way to keep track. My issue becomes tine. Lately trying to find the time even to keep up and get caught up somehow with even all the older discussions that I have started
