Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a lovely morning. Things are good here. =) We all woke up this morning and we are so grateful for God's love! Today I wanted to do something a little different from what I usually write about. I have tried a few new things lately and wanted to write about how it went. The first thing I tried was a fairly new sandwich from McDonald's called the bacon smokehouse burger. It has onion rings, bacon, a sweet mustard sauce and real white cheddar. I have to say it wasn't what I was expecting. There is a sweet flavor mixed in with spicy onion rings and a salty burger. Maybe it works for some but my taste buds screamed nooooooo! Okay, the next new thing I tried out was an app. It is called Fetch Rewards. Now, this app I love so far! Unlike Ibotta, with Fetch Rewards you scan any receipt you get and earn points for rewards-not just certain items in the store and not just certain stores either. I got points for shopping at Dollar Tree!! It is awesome and so easy to get great rewards like gift cards from stores and restaurants! The next new thing we tried was a few off brand items at Walmart. We tried the great value brand of Mayonnaise and plain potato chips. Both were AMAZING-which is surprising because we don't usually like any other brand of mayonnaise except Hellmann's. The potato chips we usually get are Lay's but now we can save some money since this bag was only $1.12! Have you tried anything new lately and what did you think of it?

I don't think I would like that burger. That app sounds great. I have not tried anything new lately.

The Fetch app sounds great! The last new thing I tried was a Mahi Mahi taco at a place called Torchy's Tacos, a place I had never been. Who knew a tuna taco was good? Oh, and last week I tried a lavender tea cookie, which was amazing. I really need to try other new things other than food!

The burger you described would not appeal to me. I rarely eat beef anymore because a couple years ago my missus decided we weren't going to eat beef, so there's none around the house. I still have the occasional burger or steak when we go out. The app sounds like a winner.

@LovingMyBabies When I was a teen, I worked at a restaurant and the chef was something of a burger gourmet, so I became spoiled when it comes to hamburgers. I have rarely found a burger as good as those Tracey made for me.

My boyfriend has been wanting to try that burger.. he'll probably like it since he likes most things. I'm going to try that rewards thing, especially since it doesnt need to be for certain stores or items, which i hate about the other ones since we don't shop for those items or those stores. My mom likes the UTZ plain chips, and I like their ruffles. But we usually stick to Lays too. I actually tried a pizza roll from one of our pizza places yesterday and I hated it. Couldn't even tell their was cheese in it. Ugh.

@Courtlynn I hope he likes it! Yes, that's what I have always disliked about the rewards too--they usually didn't have what I buy available for points. This one is awesome since it can be any store and any products! I'm sorry you didn't like the pizza roll.

You have just encouraged me to go ahead and try Fetch. I have it on my phone. I have not been pleased with McDonald's when I have gone there this summer. New food at home--roasted butternut squash cubes. Sweet, tasty and healthy. No, I would not want a sweet sauce on my burger, either.

I think I would pass on the burger. As for Fetch Rewards, it sounds like a good thing to check out. We have gotten the WalMart chips and found that they are good. We use Hellmann's mayo but maybe should give the WalMart one a try. I like to save money.

@Hazysue Yeah, it wasn't good. If you decide to sign up for Fetch Rewards let me know-we will both get points. You can use receipts from as far back as 2 weeks ago! =) The great value brand is really good on the mayo, I did not taste a difference and I always notice a difference with other brands of mayo. Lol.

Sounds great minus mc donalds food! I usually buy the walmart mayo since its cheaper. Most "Store brands" are actually the same product created by the same manufactures, its just a different label. This goes for diapers too! different store brands are actually different name brands! I tried cici's pizza and let me just say... never going back. We paid 5$ for 2 sodas and they knew the soda machine wasn't working and then they charged us for a 2 litter of soda. Like seriously? I know I wasn't the only one who was surprised and told we bought water cups that were not water cups. The food was disgusting. The "Alfredo sauce" was like water with a little white in it, it poured and slopped everywhere like a very, very, thinned out watered down milk. No taste. The salad bar had like no toppings whatsoever. The pizza was slapped together that some of the inside bites were actually raw and runny. They didn't even cut them fully so people could separate them by the slice. . So 30+ dollars on slop.....

@Daelii Most things I am not picky about store brands at all except for Mayo and some chips. I was shocked when I found I like both in the great value brands! Yeah diapers we use Parents choice and they work just fine for us. We don't buy name brand in almost anything. As for Cici's pizza, we don't like it either. =( We had a few bad experiences and have decided we won't be going back. Shame since it's a good concept. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. We like Chuck E Cheese food better than CiCi's!

@LovingMyBabies I really love the family mom and pop pizza place in town. we dont have a cicis within an hour or so.. it was a one time thing on a vacation. I tried a different one on a different vacation since it was convenient and we needed a stop/eat/walk during an 8 hour drive... the food there wasn't the best either. watered down ick. So I figured it was okay to try another one and see if it was just a poor quality experience at one or if it was the norm. We tried a different new delivery place for pizza and got two giant, deliciously cooked pizzas cooked perfectly and delivered at our hotel for under 20 total. It was like a huge slap in the face compared to what we paid for and got at cicis. I could have easily had two meals that I enjoyed at that other pizza place compared to what was done at cici's. I was sick too the evening after eating at cici's.

@Marilynda1225 You should so tell her about it, it's really good! =) As for the mayonnaise-I have always been the same way--only Hellmann's. However, we couldn't afford that brand so I gave the great value brand a try. I was shocked! I could not tell the difference. I have never found a different brand before.

@NJChicaa I am only picky about my mayonnaise. Lol. The burger did not taste like it was from there-I have to give them that much credit on it. It tasted like a real burger-just too many flavors going on.

I didn't try anything new. How do you feel God's love? My parents tell me that I am punished. The mistakes of the parents affect the children. My father tells me I am doomed.

@dya80dya It's not a feeling or about our emotions-it's faith and believing that God's word is truth.
