Torn removed

brokn, gutter
Philippines

No matter how many times Ivulca sealed the roof, it didn't work. Until we finally realize the gutter was the problem all along. And they were right. We understand now that if you didn't paint the gutter or buy the colored one, it's going to get rusted along the way. Which is exactly the way looked in the picture. I hope the tenant would be able to use her small storage now.

It wasn't treated and it's the cheap kind that rusts.

We did not install any gutter on our roof because that easily gets rusted for several reasons like dirt accumulating on it and becoming damp thus causing rust. Birds often build nests on the gutter and also adds to the accumulation of dirt. We installed a false gutter instead for aesthetics. When you install gutters, it's not only the gutters that gets rusted but they also cause your ceiling on the overhang to rut.

Hello @sunrisefan We did put some screen on it after the gutter. But I guess it wouldn't matter if we don't have trees anymore.

@Letranknight2015 Even if you don't have trees, dust will still accumulate over time plus the birds will bring strips of grass. The gutter is one of their favorite nesting places. Just putting my input to help :)

I think it can no longer be reused now. I think they really need to throw that away and have a new one

I am hoping ours are OK. Hiring tradesmen is always a problem. (We just got one section of our gutters fixed half a year ago, cost us about a thousand dollars!)

@Letranknight2015 oh no, that is the normal price for just some piece of gutter. For the whole house, it would be about $8000 (I was told so!).
