the dead fly

While I was typing a response to the comment of a user in one of the discussions, I noticed a fly buzzing at the monitor of the desktop. I immediately took the fly swatter and waited for the fly. When it landed on the table, i hit it with the swatter. It was dead on the spot. I took a picture then threw it in the trash bin. There was news last night that there is a certain place where flies are so many that the video showed these insects form big circles and covering big areas in a poultry farm. That could be the reason.

I hate flies anytime. Dirt is one thing that could be causing so many flies.

our neighbor at the left of our house has a makeshift poultry and some of the chicks even fly to our lawn, to which our dogs catch and kill them too. that is why when fowls enter our yard, we drive them away.

@aureliah the neighbors are always out of their house, and the chicks are scattered everywhere, even flying across the fence.

@ridingbet I think your neighbor should do something to ensure the chicks do not get out of the makeshift

There was one hanging around in our bathroom and every time I tried to kill it he would get away. I think my husband finally got him because he is no longer bothering me when I go potty.

no, it is not a poultry, but it is just a small cage where our neighbors keep their fowls of one hen, one rooster, and their brood inside. one chick was killed already by the dogs because the chicks are trespassing our lawn

@ridingbet They should have that cleaned all the time. And the chicken eggs do attract flies.

@toniganzon the neighbors have roosters for cockfights, and also a hen that lays eggs, the chicks do fly over our lawn and they are caught by our dogs. i think it is not our fault already if their chicks are bitten and killed by our dogs.

I had to use a fly swatter to kill a moth. The kitties alerted me.

wow, isn't it the moths usually stay near a light bulb? maybe the kittens were distracted with the flying object within their peripheral visions?

I do agree that a poultry farm needs to be clean at all times. We don't want to deal with the occurrence of bird's flu.

welcome back again, my dear kabsat, how is life? yes, i agree, not only flies are attracted to the chicken, but that very minute insect that we Ilocanos call "ayam" or "hanip". yes, a bite of this bug causes a rash that gets bigger once scrtached.

and if they buzz, it irritates you, right? there are big flies that like to stay in ripe or rather getting rotten fruits.
