I hate this situation but our currency is losing value each and every day since I was born. We, who takes their salary with Turkish Liras, are getting poorer with each passing day. This makes me sad. I wonder if the politicians who cause or do not fix this situation are suffering its consequences? Or do they have all their savings in foreign currencies and actually profit from this?

It's entirely possible that they do. I don't think it's possible to trust a politician, no matter what country you're from. They don't care about the general welfare of the people, just their own self serving purposes. They tell the people what they want to hear, grab power, and then do whatever suits their fancy. If there is one group of people I would never trust even a tiny bit, politicians would definitely be it.

I totally agree with you. People should consider ethics and personality when electing their politicians. But they hide their real intentions very well don't they?

I think all the developing countries suffer this. What do you think can prevent this? A national and independant economy?

I assume it is independant from nationality and the same in every country. Maybe more in developing countries?
