Public display of love

Ohh..how much I hate when people behave indecently in public. We all love our better halves but a display of love in front of everyone is something which is not acceptable by our society. What do you think about this?

Categorizing it into decent and indecent depends a lot on our societal and cultural prejudices. I am okay or in fact feel good about such display provided it takes in account the public decency. Some moral policing also goes beyond decency.

There are different ways of depicting love. Any gesture of love and concern is acceptable but I dislike any kind of deliberate love show

@amitkokiladitya If the affection is not natural and is deliberate, it becomes uncomfortable for all around. Enjoy the drama. You are not even paying for it. But of course you can see only cheap dramas for free.

I think holding hands is fine but more than that isn't acceptable.. we should have our privacy also..

It is their life. How does it affect my bank balance or health or family? So I am cool with what another person does or wants to do. They take relevant risks. They are not young, they have parents.

@amitkokiladitya We are not accustomed to such things. But in the west they kiss in open. I am not saying it is ok. But I am not saying it is not ok either. I am just INDIFFERENT unless as somebody pointed kids are around. In general, kids too do not notice such things unless it is talked about or some noise is made about it.

@vandana7 I will have to disagree a bit in this. These days kids are very smart. A 3 year old kid is observant enough to see and question everything around

Yes..I know . But they do make the surrounding people uncomfortable. So this kind of conduct is not at all acceptable when we have people around us.

@allknowing , there is no problem of the walking that way, but in class my students in love did the kissing scene that suspended them for 5 days and their parents were interrogated.

Imagine I was enjoying the atmosphere of the afternoon in the park or just chatting casually with a few friends while watching people passing by. Then there are lovers kissing in front of me. I felt embarrassed and was forced to turn my eyes in another direction because I did not want to see the 'private affairs' of other people.

@amitkokiladitya That's true, especially if they are in a country where the law is crueler.

There are sweethearts who never care what people say. They only listen to their urges without minding the limits they break. They lack the common sense which is very important to humans.

No...every place has a decorum which needs to be maintained. If that was the case, no rooms would ever need any doors. Don't take me otherwise. I'm just sharing my point if view

Everything does in public do affect the feeling of others. Good or Bad, discipline is very important in front of others. In fact, we all expect respect from others in public. Am I right or not.?

I guess it depends on where your culture has high tolerance for that. If you go to western countries they could be very expressive in the way they deal with their partners. They are accepted as normal behavior. But for most in the Asian side its a bit conservative that even holding hands may be repulsive to them. I for one as Asian descent does like the modest way to express my feelings for my love ones.
