How is life without children? Better or worse?

Many people say that they have no purpose without children. They live for their children. Other people can't stand children. They don't want to be bothered by kids. Is it better with kids or without them? My aunt doesn't have children and she is happy. My mother says she can't live without her children. What do you think? It's good to have children nowadays?

Not all mothers are blessed with children. I am happy for those who come to terms that they cannot bear child. Some adopt, some stay childless. It is their option and decision. Children does not define happiness, it adds a lot happiness to the house and family for sure. But children are not the only source of happiness. You have to be content with your life.

It depends on your financial abilities first of all. Secondly, how sure you are in your husband. Thirdly, your couple's aims in life

I think you answered your own question. Having children is good for some, others would rather not have them. Not everyone's life would improve by having children so there is no right or wrong/better or worse that can speak for "Everyone" in this case.

I think one can be happy with or without kids. Although the joys of having children versus none are different, it's still happiness nevertheless. You get to do more things without children around, and with their existence, you get to do stuff together.

@dya80dya That's unavoidable; when they grow up too...

I love my children and I would be very lonely without them. My 24-year-old and his wife do not want children other than furbabies. I respect that. They are not "children" people.

@dya80dya NO, children are not easy to raise and if a person is not a "children" person, they have no business bringing one into the world. I see countless people have children and treat them like dirt. It is not fair for the child.

I guess only people who have kids can say is it better or worse with or without kids (coz they've experienced both), but I'm sure whoever have them can't say it's better without them. However, kids are not for everyone, and that is fine, so for people who don't want to have kids for sure it's better not to have them, and for those who want opposite. So there is no correct answer, it depends on person. It's personal choise.
