Has anyone tried out the copper frying pans seen on the TV infomercials? I bought one and I must say I give it a thumbs up! I especially like the idea of using it not only on top of the stove but in the oven too. The copper pan cooks the food evenly without any real mess. No butter or oil is needed to cook with, and cleanup is a little dishwasher detergent on a paper towel. That's it! No hard scrubbing. Any minor food residue wipes away with ease. What's your opinion of this cooking product? I was skeptical but am happy with its performance. Photo- groupon.com

My husband tried to convince me to get one. I don't need it. I have 2 stainless steel and 2 cast iron skillets. I'm good.

I wondered about it too. I have the Red Copper Sandwich maker (it's like a pan with two sides that clip shut to make grilled sandwiches ) and I like that a fair deal

I haven't tried it yet. Are there any advantages to use copper frying pans? As I think they shall be much more expensive.

They cost $19.99 in the U.S. Fairly reasonable. The copper pan is great for me. Easy cooking and cleanup. Items cook evenly and even taste better.

@dgobucks226 The copper pots are used to make polenta and stews, the pan to saute pasta with some kind of sauces, also to fry fritters.

I haven't tried a copper pan, but it is good that it is so simple to clean and I like the no butter or oil needed to cook the food, much healthier.

I love our copper pan. I used it yesterday and today. A short while ago, I washed it and was thinking about how much I enjoy using it.

Is that the one that is indestructible and nothing ever sticks and all cooks evenly.

This pan appears to be the one although indestructible is iffy in my view. But the pan does seem to be holding up very well. So, we shall see, lol.

I bought one, but not off the infomercial. But I have to say it works pretty well. I mean, it's a frying pan, but it does seem to cook evenly and well.

Yes they do an efficient job. A regular frying pan cost almost as much for a decent one so I decided to give it a try. For the little extra cost I must say for me it was worth it.

@dgobucks226 Mostly all of these frying pans are gimmicks. They have been making, for example, iron skillets for years which are probably the best thing you can cook with. But they are not "faddish" of course. Iron skillets are probably one of the most universal cooking things you can have in the house.
