She's 5 months today!

I feel like I have had Danie for a very long time already. This beautiful baby girl of mine has found a home in my family and is loving it, I think. She has been our source of joy from the day she arrived. She made me busy waking up early so I could play with her, prepare her meal, bathe her, and cuddle with her.
She can be naughty sometimes, biting our shoe laces but hey it's her way of saying she's bored. So I would grab her toy and play fetch with her. Sometimes she'd bite on the furniture, but she's in her teething period, so I would grab her rubber duckies and she would immediately turn her attention to those. She likes the squeaky sound.
Danie has been with us for only three weeks but it seems like three years. And today, August 8th, she turned 5 months already.
Would you like a hug from this fur ball of mine? She knows how to give a hug, honest.

@moichan NO. I would never get a princess type of dog. Among reputable breeders, that's considered a fault and a kind of animal cruelty in breeding one,

she is so fluffy.
our Jap Spitz sometimes look at me with their soulful eyes, wanting me to pet them. i do that, and then the others follow.

@ridingbet I bring her to the groomers once a month. And every week I bathe her with organic shampoo and conditioner. And everyday I clean her with baby powder making sure it's talc free. I learned that from my breeder who always joins the dog show competition. Danie sleeps with me and I don't want her smelling terrible.
Bichons are prone to skin disease and it's advised that their skin should remain dry. And because of their thick hair they shouldn't be allowed to stay wet for long or it might give then pneumonia.
Bichons are famous for their thick and fluffy hair. They are known as cotton teddy bears. And it's not because they're always groomed but because of their breed.

@toniganzon since your puppy is often brought to the pet shop for grooming, then i assume she will be fluffier. for us, we groom them after their bath, and sometimes i blow-dry their fur to let it dry.

@toniganzon Maltese that's the other breed I always confuse with shitshu (sorry about the spelling). The lake bash we went to a few weeks ago they have a dog that is a Bichon frise and something else. The fur was incredibly soft.

No she's not a mix. She's a pure breed bichon frise. Their origin though has a mix of poodle and maltese.

She looks so sad. Either you just woke her up or he's not happy that she's getting older. Tickle her and see if you can get her to smile.

She's actually sleepy coz she just had a bath. And mind you, she likes taking a bath and the best part that she loves the most is when we're blow drying her hair. She enjoys that a lot.

Happy 5 months old, Danie. She's adorable. Just like you, I am a dog lover too. I have a pet named Tobey and he is a toy poodle. He just turned 9 years old last June 11th. He's such a gentle and loving dog. He sleeps in my room every night and doesn't leave my side especially when he feels that I am sad or upset. I wouldn't trade him for anything else in this world. He's my best friend.

Oh that's so sweet of Tobey. Danie sleeps in my room too, She gets separation anxiety when we leave her alone. She's super excited when we come home and she gives a lot of kisses all the time. She always wanted to be hugged and kissed.
