Never say die

The "never say die" attitude of Barangay Ginebra in the PBA finals once again allowed them to snatch the championship trophy and humbled the once mighty San Miguel Beer team. Never mind if they're sister team. Inside the basketball court, they're enemies. Barangay Ginebra showed much poise amidst the roar of an audience of more than 20,000, majority of which were Ginebra Fans. The championship gave Coach Tim Cone (the winningest coach in the PBA) his 21st championship. Star of the finals series was the very young guard Scottie Thompson who also got the coveted MVP Award. Import Justin Brownlee was in his best fighting form too and has been endeared to Ginebra fans. The other locals did their share of working hard for the crown. Despite the championship, Ginebra (including its coach) remained humble in victory and still gave credit to San Miguel. That's what I like and admire in winners - staying humble.

I used to be an Alaska fan. When they traded Johhny Abarrientos to Coca-Cola, I transferred to Coke too and when finally Johnny was traded to Ginebra till he retired, I shifted to Ginebra too and stuck with them till now LOL!

@jobelbojel Yes, Tim Cone was behind the championships of Alaska and even Magnolia when he transferred there. I thought he would have stayed forever with Alaska.

Am not so much a fan of basketball; but I agree, Ginebra had made a mark in Philippine basketball history; it a becoming a byword everywhere; also with Tim Cone, a very good coach.

I thought Ginebra would not make it to the finals because they had a bad 1-5 start of the conference. The entry of Justin Brownlee was their spark. I don't play basketball but just love to see the PBA games, especially when Ginebra plays.
